Well, I was arsed today.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>You can easily see which commands you ran in the past. But do you know when did you run it? The history command can tell you that as well.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Source: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/linuxhandbook.com\/history-command-timestamp\/\">Enable Timestamp in History Command in Linux<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Open the\u00a0<code>.bashrc<\/code>\u00a0file in your favorite text editor. I am using Nano here.<\/p>\n<pre><code>nano ~\/.bashrc<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>You can use\u00a0<code>Alt + \/<\/code>\u00a0to jump to the end of the file in Nano and add the following line:<\/p>\n<pre><code>export HISTTIMEFORMAT=\"%F %T \"<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>The main reason I am looking for this is that I want to start documenting my home network (homelab) setup. It is getting more complex and, frankly, I am getting older.
