This thing was in the sky for about a month before things lines up enough for me to get a glimpse of it. Never could see it with my naked eye.
Most folks say binoculars are the sweet spot. Guess what I do not have. The worst part of it, aside from the first three weeks of it being up at 3AM, were the endless clouds in the north-west sky. Calin came out to the local big field with me a couple of nights. But he had to stay home last night. That freed me to stay there a bit longer and concentrate. I’d love a new camera, as my Nikon D40 (6.0 MP) is well past its prime at this point. But, with a little know-how and some sweet talk, I manged to get a few decent pics. Not bad for blind shooting!
