Make a Miter Saw Work Station: Part 1 | THISisCarpentry.

I like this stand and I especially like the pocket hole jig that they use! Fancy!! Some good ideas for “mods” for the saw in Part 2. Nothing crazy, but decent ideas for fences, etc.
