Addressing the Dropbox Link Change

Found all my old Dropbox file links to be broken now that they made some strange change. The direct linking feature was one of my favorite things about Dropbox, so I am seriously looking for a solution right now.

Found this site that suggests a “raw=1” be added to the end of a link. Testing now.

This is the basic “Copy DropBox Link”:

Messing with this raw=1 stuff.

We have a winner!

Here is a file linked from OneDrive. Say what you want, but it does have some cool features. Let’s see if this is one of them.

Bummer.

OK, now GoogleDrive.

Dropbox is still in the lead, but I am not happy about what they’ve done.
