I have been thinking about what a time-sink FB is and how I really don’t enjoy providing them with data to monetize. If my data can be monetized, shouldn’t it be me that gets those monies? So, I am looking at ways that I can start backing down from FB and using the tools that I already have in place (and pay for) to achieve those ends. The first part, the pictures, was pretty easy to do, but I need to do more research on Instagram and how safe it is. Isn’t it an arm of FB now? If so, I need to rip that out and replace it ASAP. BTW, I have Instagram photos posting here with help from this guy’s blog post. Worked a treat and was very easy to set up. This IFTTT service could come in very handy.

Crap. Back to the drawing board. I was afraid of that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instagram#History
“On April 12, 2012, Facebook acquired Instagram for approximately $1 billion in cash and stock.”
