Shedding More Light II

Started putting together a…wait for it…spreadsheet πŸ˜€ for all the different bulbs with OEM #, cost from the dealer, costs (and links) for third party vendors and discussed in forums alternatives. Started to see some trends.
The dash switches, like TRACS and the defroster, and the radio bulbs can all be replaced with bulbs that cost $0.59 each, so I ordered up ten of them.

It is starting to look like the gear shift, ash tray and glove box all use the same type of $6.46 bulb…gear shift first, please.
The climate control is interesting. This is a somewhat different, somewhat similar bulb to the radio and switch bulb, but its base is longer and I need four (maybe only two…waiting for verification) $5.66 bulbs to get it lit up. For far less than that, I may be able to mod the bases and install blue LEDs.

I’ll tell you, spending that $10 felt kind of weird. I really don’t buy anything any more! Remember a couple years back when I was spending up money on any old hair-brained idea I came up with? I’d have bought all the fixings for DIY LED conversions, professional LED builds and then the OEM bulbs already! It is a different world now.
