This is just the platform. The fort will sit on top. Platform is roughly 8’x8′. Fort will be 8’x4’x6′ at the front and 5′ high at the rear.
It isn’t quite square. In fact, one side drifts out about 2″ front to rear. If I ever do something like this again, I am definitely framing it first. then pouring the concrete. I am a network engineer, not a patio engineer!
We are searching for a slide now, which is an odd thing to find out of stock because of the Coronavirus. There will also be a ladder and a gangplank. We are also toying with the idea of a trapdoor in the floor in order to escape to the “basement”, which we are also toying around with putting up three lattice walls.
