A Roof For A Fort

Three walls makes a fort

Or something like that. Three walls up, mainly square, and carriage bolted to the deck. I have the framing plan for the front wall and went to the Home Despot today for materials.

Fort follow up

Take a guess what I did this weekend?

Yup. More fort building. Was aiming for 3 walls completed, if not mounted, by quitting time Sunday, but I only got 2.75 done.

I am out of Titebond III and 2.5″ screws and couldn’t see masking up to go to Big Orange for these meager supplies when I am going to need oh so much more next weekend.… Read the rest

Building the kid a fort

This is just the platform. The fort will sit on top. Platform is roughly 8’x8′. Fort will be 8’x4’x6′ at the front and 5′ high at the rear.

RIP, Mike

Very early on the morning of Feb 27, 2020, I had a call from my sister. Our brother was dead.

Michael Joseph Hannan, 57, of Quaker Hill, died unexpectedly at home on Feb. 27, 2020. He was born in Flushing, NY, on June 30, 1962, and grew up in Gales Ferry.
