Ranganna Gaeilge i Sasana Nua – Google Maps
I’ve started taking Irish classes again. It is great to be back at it. My sister found a group near her in Westerly, RI. Last night she started teaching it. I am very impressed with her. This morning I put this map together to see where the Irish language classes in New England are located and where there needs to be some expansion.… Read the rest
An email to my sister about my last Irish class
My class last night was really strange, but good. It was probably the smallest turn-out yet. Just the hardcore. It seemed everyone had an leabhar. There were about 6 or 7 “intermediate” students, but they were soon whisked off to a separate room with the head instructor.… Read the rest
Lá Gaeilge!!!
I attended my first Lá Gaeilge (Irish Language Day) this past Saturday. It was at Elms College in Chicopee, MA. God, I hate the Mass Pike. But the event was fun for the most part.
It was very interesting hearing a bunch of folks speaking the language in a million different little day-to-day conversations.… Read the rest
Bored at werk…must be time for a blog update
Things have been slow at werk of late. Too slow.
I am used to being busy the whole time I am here: 7:30AM to 4PM.
But, lately, things have been just dead.
I won’t have anything to do until 8 or 9, if I get anything, and then I won’t have anything else to do the entire day.… Read the rest
