Was asked today about loading DD-WRT or Tomato on the new router. Turns out Cisco decided to turn up their middle fingers towards those projects. They screwed with the NVRAM in a way that the third party Devs cannot work around.… Read the rest

I recently (Sept 26) replaced the failed router in the attic with a new Cisco/Linksys EA2700. Wireless was not the main selling point on this router. If it were, I would have done more research. I needed a wired router replacement ASAP to replace a dead unit, but good freaking luck finding a wired-only router these days.… Read the rest
