Natural Deodorant, Round 2
I bet you were hoping that I had forgotten about this silly project and just moved back to Degree for Men, right? Nope! It is time for an update.
A couple of weeks back, I started running low on the deodorant in the refilled stick.… Read the rest
Gear Shifter Light!!!
Yesterday, I replaced the gear shifter light. This involved removing two concealed bolts and popping some plastic tabs. I used these instructions and the job was done in maybe 20 minutes. I involved the Nexus 7 tablet that I received for Christmas in the process, propping it up between the dashboard and the windshield.… Read the rest
Email to my wife about the Newtown, CT school shooting
Stumbled into a rat’s nest of comments following an article about the shooting.
The Liberals are angry about the lack of gun laws in this country.
And the Conservatives are angry that the Liberals want to take their guns away.
They are all just mad.… Read the rest
Gold, Frankenstein and Myrrh
I had my knee operated on a couple of weeks back and I am starting to feel a little stir crazy. I am feeling better than I have in a long while, and the knee is pretty good, too. Lots of sleep and no stress from work have removed the bags from under my eyes and I think I look about 10 years younger.… Read the rest

Sept 27:
Today I think I will look at WTF I am doing wrong with my new wireless router. I know that wireless was not a buying point, but now that I have it, I want it rocking at the 300Mbps advertised.… Read the rest
Started attending my first Irish class!!
I started attending my first Irish class at the Irish Cultural Center last night. It was really pretty good. I think everyone was very impressed at the turn-out. I stopped counting at 24 students. There were about 6 or 7 “intermediate” students, but they were soon whisked off to a separate room with the head instructor.… Read the rest
Kegerator Drip Tray!!!
I finally finished up my kegerator drip tray and I have to say, I am shocked at how well it turned out.
This is a very low-mileage fridge that my SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) gave me when we got married last year.… Read the rest
Camping in Westhampton, MA
We stayed at a KOA for a couple days in Westhampton, MA.
It was OK, but really was more of an RV park in the woods.
The weather was wicked. Above 100F during the afternoon the first day. But it let up and rained a bit the second day.… Read the rest
Home Improvements
Just thought you might like to see what I have been doing with my last ever “free” vacation week.
The next time I have more than a holiday off, it will mean that Jenny is giving birth.
I put the time to some pretty good use.… Read the rest
Grooking around cemeteries
This is the single stone that I wanted to find yesterday. It just so happens to be right up the street from the house. I was expecting just Elmer C. Lee, Jenny’s great uncle.
As you can see, it lists not only old Elmer, but his wife (who I had no record of), his mother (which was a shocker to both Jenny and I) and gives us the location of the mysterious John E.… Read the rest
